Nidec Corporation Announces Incentive Program

Nidec Corporation (NYSE:NJ) has announced the creation of the Nagamori Awards in an effort to recognize young inventors for creative, innovative problem solving solutions.

The company announced that the Nagamori Awards are open to Research and Development engineers at the entry level to middle-level from Universities, public organizations or private companies. Those engineers who demonstrate documented research and development of motors, actuators, power generators and associated technologies are eligible for consideration.

Applicants must be entry to middle-level Research and Development engineers who are members of a university faculty, public organization, or private company located anywhere in the world. An applicant must be recommended for the Award by their academic circle or their company supervisor. The application period opens on, and all the applications must be received by January 31, 2015.

The Nagamori Award, which is a monetary reward, will be granted to 3-5 people annually. The Grand Nagamori Award recipient will be announced at the commendation ceremony scheduled for August 30, 2015 in Kyoto, Japan.
