Starting in 2014, manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and end users of pumps, compressors and seals will have their own specialist forum in Düsseldorf, Germany: The first “Pump Seminar & Summit” will be held during Valve World Expo 2014, 9thBiennial World Conference & Exhibition, on December 2 and 3, 2014 in the Congress Center at the Düsseldorf fairgrounds. Valve World Expo will take place from December 2 – 4, 2014. The parallel staging of the Pump Seminar & Summit with Valve World Expo will generate valuable synergies for participants in both sectors.
The Pump Seminar & Summit will offer some 60 stands on 21,500 square feet of net exhibit space. The pump trade fair will be complemented by a seminar, with speakers addressing topics such as energy efficiency, engineer recruitment in the future and fugitive emissions as well as sealing technology, purchasing and servicing. Together, the trade fair and the seminar will provide participants with an ideal forum to exchange new technologies and expertise.
Specialists from the fields of pump and pump systems from various industries will meet in Düsseldorf with the goal to optimize pump applications in terms of safety, performance, reliability and cost to heighten global awareness in the sector about the use of the correct pump and the appropriate pump accessories. A particular focus of the trade fair and seminar will be markets such as water & waste water, housing technology, food & drink industry, mining, (petro) chemical industry and oil & gas as well as energy generation, pharmaceutical industry, ship building, paper & cellulose industry and engineering & contracting.
The Pump Seminar & Summit is planned as an annual event with alternating focal topics. For the premiere in December 2014, water and waste water will be the main theme while in 2015 the focus will be on the oil and gas sector (in 2015, the Pump Seminar & Summit will take place as a standalone event).
