With a focus on improving the efficiency and safety of electrical industry professionals, Schneider Electric™, the global specialist in energy management and automation, today announces the release of the new PowerPact™ B-frame circuit breaker. Offering robust power protection in a compact size and easy installation, the new B-frame circuit breaker brings “efficiency that clicks” to the work day.

The 125A B-frame circuit breaker is the smallest Square D by Schneider Electric molded case circuit breaker offered in the PowerPact range. It utilizes economical, thermal magnetic sensing elements in each of the various 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-pole construction types. Designed to be flexible, it offers unique integrated DIN rail and traditional back-pan mounting capabilities without extra adapter brackets. A wide variety of external mechanical operators for control panel applications complement field-installable electrical accessories that let customers easily configure the product to their specific needs.

PowerPact B circuit breakers also feature EverLink™ creep-compensating lug technology. This patented, spring-based power terminal system ensures a lasting connection by mitigating the loosening effects of heat cycling or vibration. The lugs are UL listed for use directly with stranded and also fine-stranded wire up to Class K. EverLink lugs are even offered with optional built-in control wire terminals.

“Our customers have come to trust the reliability of our PowerPact circuit breakers, and we are excited to add our newest member of PowerPact molded case circuit breakers to the family,” said Ross Marostica, Product Manager – Schneider Electric. “From top to bottom we have innovated at every level to improve efficiency and let electrical contractors get the job done quickly. OEMs that offer it in their products, contractors that install it, and Schneider Electric distributors who carry it will know they’re giving their customers the best choice. In the field, PowerPact B will be a pleasure to work with because of the small size, integrated DIN rail, one-click accessories and the secure EverLink connectors.”

“It was time to give our customers more flexibility,” says Marostica about the new circuit breaker. “And with global challenges of counterfeiting, safe electrical infrastuctures, and support logistics, we were also able to design in features to help eliminate some of these issues.”

To make functionality even more convenient for OEMs, electrical contractors and end users, each new circuit breaker includes a QR code, which provides access to online product information, Customer Care Center contact info, serial number for tracking, and an embedded anti-counterfeit system.

PowerPact B circuit breakers are UL listed, ANCE, NOM, CSA, IEC, CCC, and EAC certified and CE marked for global markets. It is a Schneider Electric Green Premium product, which guarantees compliance with the most up-to-date environmental regulations.
