NETZSCH to showcase innovative pump technology at WEFTEC 2015

By: Netzsch

NETZSCH Pumps North America, LLC, experts in solutions designed specifically for difficult pumping applications, will be showcasing its innovative pump technology at WEFTEC 2015, September 26-30, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois, Booth #1461. On display will be the new FSIP™ (full service-in-place) version of the industry-leading NEMO® progressive cavity pump line, as well as additional sizes of the revolutionary TORNADO® T2 rotary lobe pump line. Daily product demonstrations will take place in the booth during the show.

NETZSCH will also be participating in interactive WEFTEC sponsored workshops highlighting the pumps on display. The workshops will take place Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 2:30-3:15 p.m. and be repeated from 3:15-4:00 p.m., at the McCormick Place Exhibition Hall. The sessions will review the models and sizes of the pumps on display, provide an overview of unique design features, offer maintenance information and tips, and present troubleshooting information.

Drop by Booth #1461 to see the new NEMO progressive cavity pump, which has been re-engineered with a maintenance-friendly FSIP™ design. Providing full access to all of the pump’s rotating parts, FSIP™ allows users to conveniently open the pump cavity on-site and dismantle all rotating parts and simply install them again without having to remove the pump from the pipe assembly. The NEMO’s rotor-stator unit can be simply lifted out after opening the newly designed inspection cover on the pump housing. This significantly reduces installation and maintenance time.

With a broad application range, NEMO progressive cavity pumps are known for their continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation conveyance of almost any substance, including sludge. The pump is available in eleven styles with four rotor/stator geometries and a selection of engineered joints that can be tailored to suit specific water and wastewater applications.

Also to be showcased are several new sizes of the TORNADO T2, a self-priming, valve-less, positive displacement pump that is ideal for any kind of liquid, including media containing gas, solids or fibrous matter. On display is the newest model, developed in response to the environmental industry’s demand for greater flow rates. Up to 2,641,720 gallons per hour (10,000 cubic meters per hour) can be conveyed with the new T.Envi 08/200 and 06/300 models. The pumps are being used at wastewater treatment plants around the world.

With maximum operational performance, high reliability and durability, ease of maintenance, and a low total life cycle cost, the TORNADO T2 pump can be used for almost any media on intermittent, continuous or metering applications.

The TORNADO T2 also features the innovative FSIP™ design, which improves access for inspection, cleaning, service, and replacing parts. Simply removing the cover plate on the TORNADO T2 allows quick and easy access to the pump chamber. The rotors can be removed and replaced easily and quickly because they are not bolted or keyed to the shafts inside the pump head. The rotors’ geometry allows their independent removal without the need for special tools.
