NETZSCH to showcase range of innovative pump technology at WEFTEC 2017

By: Netzsch

NETZSCH Pumps North America, will be showcasing innovative pump technology in Booth #1817 at WEFTEC 2017, taking place September 30 through October 4, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois. On display will be the newly released N.Mac™ Twin Shaft Grinder, FSIP® (full service-in-place) version of the industry-leading NEMO® progressing cavity pump, the revolutionary TORNADO® T2 rotary lobe pump, the patented hopper with bridge (sludge, cake) preventing module (aBP-Module®), and the iFD-Stator® 2.0.

The N.Mac™ Twin Shaft Grinder on display is designed to fragment a variety of materials, and is ideal for wastewater treatment, biogas and biomass plants, food, animal processing, and other waste and industrial applications. Available in both channel and inline (flanged) housing construction, the N.Mac can be installed into effluent channels or upstream from a pump. The cartridge design – a leak free combination of mechanical seal and bearing cartridges – enables quick and simple replacement and servicing.

Also to be highlighted is the maintenance-friendly FSIP NEMO progressing cavity pump. Providing full access to all of the pump’s rotating parts, the FSIP pump allows users to conveniently open the pump cavity on-site and dismantle all rotating parts and simply install them again without having to remove the pump or disconnect the piping. This significantly reduces installation complexity and maintenance time. NEMO progressing cavity pumps are known for their continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation conveyance of almost any substance, including sludge. NEMO FSIP is now available in six sizes (NM045 to NM105) for flow rates over 800 gallons per minute.

The iFD-Stator 2.0 being showcased at the booth features a two-part, reusable stator housing and replaceable elastomeric stator. The iFD-Stator 2.0 design combines efficiency, economy and environmental safety in one unique system. Compatible with NEMO NM series progressing cavity pumps NM21 through NM063 with larger sizes in development, the iFD-Stator 2.0 reduces energy and maintenance costs.

In addition, experts will highlight the NEMO BF progressing cavity pump with a tapered force fee chamber and coupling rod with a patented, positioned feeding screw along with an add-on asynchronous bridge preventing module (aBP-Module), which prevents bridge building in a sludge conveyance system. Designed for viscous media, the NEMO BF pump with the aBP-Module breaks up the stickiest media that can cause repeated entanglements and bridging tendencies. This patented design creates a “moving wall” to prevent bridge building and does not obstruct the direct flow path. The result is significant reduction or elimination of unplanned shutdowns.

Also on display will be the TORNADO T2 Rotary Lobe Pump, with its innovative FSIP design. This self-priming, valve-less, positive displacement pump is ideal for any kind of liquid, including media containing gas, solids or fibrous matter. With maximum operational performance, high reliability and durability, ease of maintenance, and a low total life cycle cost, the TORNADO T2 pump can be used for almost any media on intermittent, continuous or metering applications.
