Louisiana Flooding – A Message from WEF Executive Director Eileen O’Neill

“We have all been moved by the scenes of devastation and stories of bravery associated with the catastrophic flooding that recently impacted Louisiana. Our members and the many others who have been affected are very much in our thoughts.

WEF has also been receiving inquiries about whether or not WEFTEC will be impacted by these events. We have been in touch with our friends in New Orleans and we are pleased to report they are safe and well. New Orleans was not impacted by the recent flooding and, as reported in this press release from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, many in the city are focused on assistance efforts for those in the affected areas. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and business operations in the city are operating normally. There is no reason to expect any disruption to WEFTEC 2016.
