KSB, Inc. Provides Comprehensive Support for Western United States from Bakersfield Service Center

By: KSB

Growing continuously since it was founded in 1871, KSB continues to cement its footprint across North America by providing pumps, valves and related system equipment as well as comprehensive after-sales support through its established network of U.S. sales and service locations. The expansion of KSB’s after-sales service offerings included the acquisition of Precision Pump and Machine back in 2004, though this facility has been in operation since 1993.

KSB serves our customers over the entire life cycle of their equipment,” states Dean Brown, General Manager of the KSB, Inc. Western Division Service Center in Bakersfield, California. This 22,000 square foot facility is fully equipped with highly knowledgeable staff who manages pump and compressor repair services, machining and fabrication, parts replacement, and 24/7 field services. “We don’t just sell equipment here,” explains Brown. “We work one-on-one with our customers to really understand the issue they’re dealing with and we find a solution to solve their problem. While many of our customers know us as Precision Pump & Machine, it’s great being part of KSB SupremeServ which allows us to leverage global resources to the benefit of our customers.”

Serving the oil and gas, power generation, pulp and paper, food processing, mining, chemical, and even municipal and military installations throughout the Western United States, the Bakersfield Service Center does not just support KSB equipment, but also services all rotating equipment by all manufactures. Ranging from self-priming, vacuum, slurry, progressive cavity, and other types of pumps and compressors, the Bakersfield facility can manufacture API parts and components as needed. With 9 cranes providing over 15-Tons of lifting capacity, dynamic balancing up to 5,000 pounds, and in-house media blasting and powder coating capabilities, the service center has fabricated and assembled complete skid units for a range of applications, using their in-house inventory and state-of-the-art machine shop and fabrication facilities.

What makes KSB Bakersfield great is we are a custom solution-provider,” declares Brown. “If our field service specialists are needed, they go out any time of day or night. Whether its laser alignment, vibration analysis, start-up and commissioning, or field repair – and if a part is too severely damaged, it can be brought back to our facility, reverse engineered and manufactured within a reasonable time frame. Whatever is needed, we do it!”

Together with the other KSB North American Service centers, Bakersfield is focused on safety and high quality standards. Customers have access to ISN, Avetta, and PEC Safety Portals and can call the service center for support on any issue. With over 26 years of reliable service, KSB’s Bakersfield location offers extensive field service reach (supporting end users as far as the eastern edge of Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and New Mexico), comprehensive in-house capabilities, and global engineering resources to support customers’ efforts to improve pump system reliability and reduce total cost of ownership.
