ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) announced today that Goulds Pumps’ third annual World of Pumps Quiz has reached more than 141 countries to date. Now in the 13th week of a 20-week run, it has attracted more than 6,200 participants to an online, biweekly set of questions, each designed to educate players about the vital role pumps play in various industries around the world.
In celebration of Heart Month, from February 3-16 the quiz will feature a pair of heart-related questions focused on the most important pump of all—the human heart.
The World of Pumps Quiz is the kick-off activity leading to Pump Appreciation Day, an annual program celebrated the second Tuesday in April. Pump Appreciation Day honors pumps as “the heart of industry” and features awards for outstanding organizations and individuals in the field, as well as activities to promote heart health.
To enter the quiz, participants can visit www.worldofpumpsquiz.com. Basic and expert questions will be posted every two weeks until midnight on March 30. Quiz-takers can answer as many questions as they’d like and sign up to receive automatic notifications when a new question is posted.
