Our Industry Person of the Week is Katherine Lynch, HVAC Sales at Fuller Engineering.
Q: How did you get started working in your field?
Katherine: I joined as a third-generation to my family business.
Q: What do you love the most about your job? What are you most proud of?
Katherine: I love working at a small business and I am so proud of how much my team has grown over the years! I am proud of the relationships my father and grandfather built within this industry, which has helped our business get to where it is today.
Q: What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work or new to the field?
Katherine: My advice for someone joining HVAC would be to give yourself time to learn and understand all of the different products. Build strong relationships with your clients. Understand how your skillset will help your team produce. Work hard and be willing to lend a hand in any situation. Always ask the people above you how you can help, this goes a long way!
Q: Can you talk about a project you recently worked on?
Katherine: We wrapped up on a large hospital job where we provided over 100 ABB drives. It was amazing to see the project from beginning to end. I visited the site pre-construction and during construction. The hospital just opened up its doors recently. While I was onsite visiting our technicians during construction, it was really cool to see all of the different workers playing their part in getting this hospital up and running! We made some great relationships along the way and were able to make the hospital proud.
