Industry Person of the Week- Ally The Engineer

Our Industry Person of the Week is Ally The Engineer. Ally is a construction engineer and advocate for women in construction.

Q: How did you get started working in your field?

Ally: Upon graduating from university, I decided to work in the field as a construction engineer for a few seasons. Then planned to move into design work. I enjoyed field work though, and ended up staying as a construction engineer!

Q: What do you love the most about your job? What are you most proud of?

Ally: I love that no two days are the same. And that I get to actually build plans, and be able to say what we needed to do to make things work in the field.

Q: What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work or new to the field?

Ally: Don’t take things personally.
