Problem:
A California olive oil producer faced challenges handling production waste—ranging from orchard debris and spilled oil to olive pits, pulp, and shattered glass.
The producer used a submersible grinder pump in their lift station to handle this waste, but over time, recurring issues arose. Approximately 2-3 times per year, they had to call in a vacuum truck to clean out the pit due to waste buildup & constant clogging.
To address this, they considered installing a 5-10 hp blower to help keep the waste suspended and improve the grinder pump’s ability to dispose of the material. However, this solution would have been costly and a short-term fix.
Solution:
After researching, the producer decided to cancel plans for the blower and new grinder, choosing instead to install the OverWatch® Direct In-Line Pump System.
