Hydraulic Institute Offers Pump Webinar Series to Assist Pump Industry Navigate the Requirements of the New DOE Pump Rulemaking

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) is offering a new webinar series on Navigating the Requirements of the DOE Test Procedure. This two-part webinar series begins May 10th and continues May 17th and will build on May 3rdscomplimentary overview training. Both sessions begin at 1:00pm ET.
Session 1 will be instructed by Arnie Sdano of Pentair Flow Technologies and covers the requirements to test pumps in accordance with the DOE Test Procedure for Pumps and will delve into HI 40.6-2014 Methods for Rotodynamic Pump Efficiency Testing as incorporated by reference in the final DOE Test Procedure for Pumps.
Session 2 will be instructed by Peter Gaydon of the Hydraulic Institute. This session covers the five options to calculate the performance metrics outlined in the DOE Energy Conservation Standard and Test Procedure for Pumps. Attendees will learn how to calculate constant load or variable load Pump Energy Index (PEI) for various clean water pump configurations.
