Leading Water Technology Company Launches Next Generation Wastewater Pumps Designed to Pump Large Amounts of Raw Sewage in Municipal Network, Main Pumping Stations

Grundfos, a global leader in water technology and services, announced today a new SE range 48 1.5-15Hp wastewater submersible pumps for handling large amounts of wastewater, process water and unscreened raw sewage in heavy-duty municipal, utility and industrial applications. The Grundfos SE range 48 1.5-15Hp pumps are available with efficient single-channel or SuperVortex impellers allowing for free passage of solids up to 4 inches. This advanced technology greatly reduces the risk of clogging and ensures maximum uptime and low operating costs for vital wastewater facilities.

“With the introduction of the Grundfos SE range 48 1.5-15Hp submersible pumps, we are setting new benchmarks in sanitation, water contamination prevention, and the secure processing of wastewater.”

“The primary function of effective wastewater management lies in the ability to transport sewage safely and hygienically, especially when it contains challenging solids such as rags and fibers. It’s not just about power; energy efficiency and reliability play crucial roles in this process,” said Rafael Ramirez Villarreal, Regional Product Manager of Water Utility, Americas at Grundfos. “With the introduction of the Grundfos SE range 48 1.5-15Hp submersible pumps, we are setting new benchmarks in sanitation, water contamination prevention, and the secure processing of wastewater.”

The Grundfos SE range 48 1.5-15Hp submersible wastewater pumps are ideal for intermittent operation and can also be dry-installed without the need for external motor cooling. Grundfos SE range 48 1.5-15Hp pumps come in both the SE1 and SEV 1.5-45Hp versions and feature these benefits:

  • Non-stop operation – Unique liquidless motor cooling enables round-the-clock operation in dry and wet installations without motor modifications.
  • Moisture-proof cable entry – The plug is filled with a two-component compound that prevents moisture entering the motor via the cable core.
  • Cartridge shaft seal – The primary and secondary mechanical shaft seals are combined into a compact easy-to-replace cartridge unit.
  • Interchangeable motors – For maximum flexibilty, the quick-detachable motor units are interchangeable and fit both channel-impeller and SuperVortex pumps.
  • Flexible installation options – The pumps are also suitable for freestanding installations or as portable pumps.
