Jens Moberg Announces Decision to Step Down as Chair of Grundfos Board of Directors

By: Grundfos

After 12 impactful years as Chair of the Grundfos Board of Directors, Jens Moberg hands over the role to Claus Aagaard. During Moberg’s tenure as chair, Grundfos’ revenue has increased by more than 50% and the company has taken significant steps to solidify its position as an ESG leader within the industry.

Grundfos is set to appoint a new chair of the board of directors. Jens Moberg, who has chaired the board of directors since 2013 and been a member of the board since 2010, has decided to step down from his post when Grundfos Holding holds its Annual General Meeting on 28 February 2025. Current board member Claus Aagaard, who is also CFO of Mars, Incorporated, is proposed for election as the new chair of the board.

‘I am pleased to entrust the vital position as chair of the board to Claus Aagaard. He has a unique global management experience from one of the world’s foremost family-owned companies. That was the reason we invited Claus Aagaard to join the board two years ago, and since then, he has made a big difference,’ said Moberg.

Commenting on his decision, Moberg added: ‘It has been a fantastic privilege to be part of Grundfos for so many years and to have helped steer the company through major changes. Grundfos is a rock-solid, value-based company, which has its eyes firmly set on the future with a new and strong strategy. The way I see it, I have accomplished what I set out to do, and I feel the time is right for me to pass on the baton.’

Flemming Konradsen, chair of the board of the Grundfos Foundation, the controlling majority shareholder of Grundfos Holding A/S, said: ‘Jens Moberg has been a very strong and visionary chair, and the impressive results and the development that Grundfos has undergone for over a decade are in large parts down to him and his work. The Foundation is very grateful to Jens Moberg, and we are extremely satisfied with his efforts.’

Grundfos’ CEO, Poul Due Jensen, also expressed his gratitude toward Moberg: ‘Jens Moberg has been a strong leader of the board’s work. As my immediate leader he has also been a dedicated, knowledgeable and generous sparring partner for me since I joined Group Management, not least since I took up my current role as CEO’.

Jens Moberg will step down from his post at Grundfos Holding A/S’ Annual General Meeting on 28 February 2025. At the same time, he will also leave his position as deputy chair of the Grundfos Foundation, where Jabine van der Meijs, former CFO of the Royal Schiphol Group and current board member, will be nominated as the new deputy chair.
