GIW, leader in centrifugal slurry pumps opens New Western Region Sales/Service Office

GIW Industries, the leader in the design, manufacture, and application of heavy duty, centrifugal slurry pumps, announced the opening of a new sales facility in Scottsdale, Ariz.

As the mining industry experiences strong growth in the area, demand for GIW’s slurry products has been increasing. In order to accommodate this growth, GIW opened a new 2,400-square-foot facility. GIW personnel here offer customer support for GIW slurry pump and hydrocyclone products.

This sales facility is conveniently located near two GIW-authorized service centers to provide one stop, total customer support. In addition, the Arizona staff provides installation and engineering assistance at nearby customer sites.

GIW Industries began as a small foundry and machine shop in Augusta, Ga., in 1891. In 1914, GIW began building slurry pumps. Today, the company comprises two manufacturing facilities, one in Grovetown, Ga., and the other in Thomson, Ga. These foundries and machine shops are used for manufacturing and assembling pumps and for casting a variety of abrasion-resistant alloys and urethane elastomers.
