GEFRAN, INC. Names Ruben R. Salinas, North America Sales Manager, Drives and Motion Control Products

Gefran Inc. today announced that Ruben R. Salinas has been named North America Sales Manager, Drives and Motion Control Products. Ruben will be responsible for all strategic planning, marketing and sales for Gefran’s Drives and Motion Control Products division in North America.

Eric Kirleis, Gefran’s Managing Director, said, “We are very excited to have Ruben join our North American team.  Ruben’s experience and leadership will provide Gefran the added focus to our motion and drives product line, and expand our North American footprint.  Ruben’s background of over 25 years as Sr. Level Executive in industrial automation controls and process equipment applications will help bring our business in North America to the next level.  Gefran is poised to become the leader for drives and motion control equipment in the elevator/lift and industrial markets served in North America.  The market segments supported by the Drives & Motion Control product lines:  Lift, Marine, Mining & Aggregates, Metals, Energy, Plastics, Fluid Power, Packaging, Material Handling and Oil & Gas.  The product applications served will be Hoist, Crane, Winding Control, Elevator/Lift ,  Pump & Compression, Drilling, Conveyance, Centrifuge, Mixing, Blower, Crusher  and Kiln, to name a few.  He is committed to adding the North American market as a vital entity matching Gefran’s European and Asian success.

Ruben stated, “With Gefran’s investment and dedication to growing our sales in North America, I expect to see rapid growth and market acceptance for all of our drives and motion control products.  My goal is to provide as much visibility for Gefran’s products as possible in order to bring the same high quality product line to North America, which already prevails in Europe and Asia.”

Prior to joining Gefran, Mr. Salinas has held senior level positions with Rockwell Automation, Danfoss Drives, Schneider Electric/Square D and Siemens Energy & Automation.  His responsibilities included sales and marketing management, leadership, business development and consulting. As Marketing Manager for Siemens, low-voltage AC motor division, Mr. Salinas was able to grow the company revenue to over $63 million in sales.  Mr. Salinas has a BBA, International Business Management, St. Mary’s University of San Antonio.  He has also participated in several professional development programs for executives. Mr. Salinas is bilingual in English/Spanish and has both domestic and international business experience.
