Working together with an enterprise mindset is one of the key behaviors at Flowserve that fuels success across both their operations and support functions. After a season of adjusting to new ways of working through the pandemic, Flowserve launched Leadership in Motion to engage 2,000+ people leaders in a development program focused on the foundational capabilities of leadership and anchored in Flowserve’s culture. The program was designed for leaders to advance their skills in collaborating across the enterprise, developing their teams, and strengthening the culture of inclusion. Most importantly, the program serves as a backdrop for critical knowledge sharing through networking and learning together with other leaders at Flowserve.
The 7-week program includes 16 hours of live-facilitated, virtual sessions with time between sessions for participants to practice what is learned and achieve personal growth. After each session break, leaders come together with their cohort to share experiences and learnings in a true environment of knowledge sharing. From operational insights to personal best practices, even the most experienced Flowserve leaders gain significantly from the collaborative discussions and breakout activities.
“The best part of leadership in motion was the collaborative interaction we had during the breakout sessions,” shared Dhaval Mistry who leads our Houston aftermarket operations. “I learned so much about other leaders’ businesses and products, what processes they own, and what they’re experiencing. The value of the program is leaders coming together from all parts of Flowserve to gain perspective on the different goals of the business, then understanding how to truly work together to reach our enterprise goals. The small group that formed out of the larger cohort I was a part of committed to setting up ongoing conversations for accountability, progress, and continued knowledge sharing. Overtime, this course will drive significant impact on Flowserve.”
