First Fugitive Emissions Summit America is a Huge Success

New event brings together LDAR, valve, and fugitive communities

The first-ever Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas conference and exhibition, held on June 13th and 14th, 2016 has concluded. Running alongside the Pump Summit Americas conference, with a shared exhibition, there were a total of 1,199 registered attendees for the 2-day event.

The conference portion of the Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas consisted of workshops on everything from compliance sustainability to consent decrees. The event also included a demonstrative Speakers’ Corner with presentations that took place on the exhibition floor and covered topics such as API RP 622 Testing and Flanges & Bolted Joint Integrity.

The 2016 Chairman, Rodney Roth of A.W. Chesterton, commented about the event:

“We began the task of developing Fugitive Emissions Summit AmericasFugitive Emissions Summit Americas 2016 with a vision and understanding that we wanted to create a conference unlike any other. We wanted to get those in attendance out of their comfort zone with regard to knowledge and understanding. Having said that, we knew the only way we could do this was to take an inclusionary approach to the content of our presentations by bringing together groups that had always worked independently. For the first time, we had end users, valve OEM’s, packing & gasket manufacturers, valve repair companies, leak sealing companies, LDAR companies, and environmental consultants represented in both our conference and expo. The feedback we received from those in attendance was fantastic. We definitely did what we set out to do, which led to the event being a huge success.”
