The Water Environment Federation is thrilled to announce that the WEF InFLOW (Introducing Future Leaders to Opportunities in Water) STEMpath program is now accepting applications for the upcoming cycle!
This unique scholarship opportunity is designed to connect talented students with career prospects in the water sector. The program is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program or 1st or 2nd year of a master’s program
- Aged between 18 and 35
- Representing historically underrepresented racial and/or ethnic groups
Through the InFLOW STEMpath program, students will gain valuable exposure to career opportunities in the water industry via WEF programs and events. This is an exciting chance to build connections, learn from industry leaders, and explore pathways in a crucial sector.
Students interested in applying can do so independently, with the support of a university sponsor.

- The 2025 InFLOW program includes a combination of virtual and in-person events at WEFTEC 2025. Programming includes an introduction to various careers and technical topics in the water sector, job readiness coaching, and multiple networking opportunities.
- WEF ensures that scholars will not have to provide any financial support to participate. Sponsors cover the cost of airfare, lodging, registration, and meals while at WEFTEC.
InFLOW reaches beyond WEFTEC, with opportunities to engage in career opportunities, internships, and scholarships through WEF’s Students & Young Professional programming.
