Configure One and Engineered Software partner to create product-customization tools for Taco Comfort Solutions

By: Taco

Configure One, a leading supplier of CPQ software solutions, has joined forces with two strong businesses partners in the industrial pump and HVAC markets. Here’s more about the details of these win-win partnerships.

When Engineered Software, a provider of software and services to the industrial pump
manufacturing market, needed a solution to tailor its products to client needs, they turned to Configure One, a leader in the CPQ (configure-price-quote) software space.

The alliance was a win-win from the beginning, as both firms remain aware of emerging trends and develop products to meet those needs.

Working together, the companies seamlessly combine Configure One’s CPQ tool with PUMP-FLO®, the premiere pump selection tool created by Engineered Software. By allowing both companies to do what they do best, this strategic collaboration automates their business processes as never before.

“The work Configure One performs in order to provide standard integrations to various third party application software used in the manufacturing industry, is a tremendous benefit to our joint customers,” explained Matt Tharp, business development manager for Engineered Software. “Allowing our customers to see a clear path for integrating various business systems such as CRM, ERP, and CAD generation software – in conjunction with our combined solution – creates a dominate tool.

By focusing on their core strengths, both firms expect their partnership to remain a long-term success as they evolve to serve their B2B markets.

“Working together as a team in providing the best possible customer service to our joint clients will separate our solution from others in the industry,” Tharp said.

As HVAC and indoor air-quality solutions for both residential and commercial customers, Taco Comfort needed tools that enabled their clients to calculate a number of parameters for each job and then source the appropriate equipment.

That’s why the joint Configure One and Engineered Software solution became a valuable part of Taco Comfort’s process. By developing a suite of tools to match design parameters to manufacturing process, the companies created a near seamless integration between sales floor and manufacturing plant.

The TacoNet 7.0 platform, along with tools for heating and cooling load calculation and hydronic systems specifications, help create a one-stop shop for selecting and customizing TacoNet’s equipment to match site requirements.
