Charli Matthews Receives the FSA Award of Merit

The Fluid Sealing Association (FSA) is pleased to announce that their FSA Award of Merit was recently bestowed upon Charli Matthews, Founder and President of Empowering Pumps, LLC, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Award of Merit was established to recognize distinguished or exceptional service to the FSA by an individual member.  The award is granted solely on merit and participation in all activities that support the FSA mission.

Charli has been a dedicated leader in the FSA Marketing Committee where she recently completed her term as Chair.  In this position, she has been instrumental in establishing, maintaining, and growing the FSA’s social media presence. She has a passion and a fundamental understanding of the social media process and was able to develop a platform for the FSA which has engaged numerous third parties which may not have otherwise heard of the FSA.

In addition to developing the FSA’s social media presence, Charli was the driving force behind the development and redesign of the FSA’s new website.  She was responsible for the expansion of the website’s content and making it a more valuable resource for the industry, as well as improving the ease of use for the FSA’s members’ customers.

“Charli Matthews has been and continues to be an upbeat and influential contributing member of the FSA.  Her participation has gone above and beyond what has been expected of any member,” said Mike Shorts, FSA President.  “She will now begin a term as Vice Chair of the Membership Committee, and I look forward to seeing the results of her efforts there.”

Founded in 1933, the Fluid Sealing Association is an international trade association.  Member companies are involved in the production and marketing of a wide range of fluid sealing devices primarily targeted to the industrial market.  FSA membership includes a number of companies in Europe and Central and South America, but is most heavily concentrated in North America. FSA members account for a majority of the manufacturing capacity for fluid sealing devices in the Americas market.
