AWWA releases exam prep app and book to assist water operators studying for certification

The American Water Works Association announced the release of an all-new exam prep app and companion book for use by current and prospective water operators who are studying for certification exams.

The AWWA Exam Prep app features sample exam questions and detailed answer explanations, and performance tracking to prepare users for certification. Users have the option to purchase additional questions, which are available in sets tailored to both introductory and advanced courses of water treatment and distribution.

The app is optimized and available for download for iOS and Android devices via the App Store or Google Play. It’s also accessible on tablets and desktop devices.

The app’s companion book, Water Operator Certification Exam Prep, replaces the Water Operator Certification Study Guide, Sixth Edition, an Association bestseller. More than 1,400 questions and answers are available through the book.

All content included in both the app and book has been assessed and approved to conform to the latest Association of Boards of Certification criteria.

Established in 1881, the American Water Works Association is the largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to managing and treating water, the world’s most important resource. With approximately 51,000 members, AWWA provides solutions to improve public health, protect the environment, strengthen the economy and enhance our quality of life.
