Advocating For Today — Educating For Tomorrow 48th Washington Forum

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) is pleased to formally announce open registration for its 48th Washington Forum, Advocating For Today — Educating For Tomorrow. The invitation is for everyone in the water sector—both WWEMA members and non-members—to join us on April 26-28, 2022 as we connect our members, attendees, and invited guests to leaders in the water industry and Government including Congress and EPA. The Washington Forum is WWEMA’s annual legislative, regulatory, and policy meeting.

Meeting registration also includes admission to the Water Associations’ Water Week 2022 Joint Session and Joint Reception, providing attendees the chance to network with WWEMA members, government career staff and legislators, utilities, and other Water Week 2022 attendees. Confirmed congressional speakers include The Honorable Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) Member, U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee; The Honorable Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) Ranking Member, U.S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee; and The Honorable Tom Carper (D-DE) Chairman, U.S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee.

A number of critical and timely water industry issues will be discussed during the meeting sessions, although there is also ample time blocked for networking. There will also be a U.S. EPA and Federal Agency Water Priorities Discussion featuring Andrew Sawyers, Director, EPA Office of Wastewater Management and Jennifer McLain, Director, EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water.

This year WWEMA is co-locating its meeting with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall—a location where attendees are steps from the best D.C. has to offer: the National Mall, The Warf, the Spy Museum, the Jefferson Memorial, the Air & Space Museum, the Lincoln Memorial and more. Additionally, the co-location will provide both formal and informal networking opportunities for professionals supporting the water sector. The hotel registration deadline is April 4, 2022.

Sponsorship opportunities are available to both members and non-members. There are various levels ranging from Bronze ($500) to Aquamarine ($3,000). Manufacturer Representatives can also help sponsor the Tuesday Night Welcome Reception ($200). Sponsors are recognized in the promotional materials, the on-site program, from the podium, on the meeting video screens, on the WWEMA website, in the Member Bulletin newsletter, on social media platforms, and in post-meeting reports.
