New ABB Triple-Certified IEC motor ideal for use in hazardous locations

By: ABB

ABB, a global leader in technology, announces the IEC Zone 2 & 22 and UL Div 2, Class I & II, Triple-Certified motor for hazardous locations. This universal motor design covers >80% of global MEPS/certificates, including North America and Europe. The IEC motor is UL and CE marked and complies with the US IHP and EU EcoDesign requirements.

The Triple-Certified motor is specifically designed to drive much of the auxiliary equipment in the oil and gas industry and is ideal for lube pumps, heat exchangers and blower motors.

ABB IEC Triple-Certified foot-mounted motors have a cast iron frame and end plates, are inverter ready, and have Class F insulation with Class B Temperature limits to ensure the motor performs reliably in oil and gas applications. A 6-post terminal block in a large F3 (top mounted) terminal box provides easier, lower cost installation. Motors are IP66 to provide protection against harsh environments.

ABB IEC Triple-Certified motors are stocked in the US and available for fast delivery.
