ABB, an international leader in electrification and automation, has launched the engineered-to-order (ETO) RXT series of Reliance legacy motors. This product series is designed for end users and OEMs who require large motors, such as the power and power generation, mining, cement, pulp and paper, chemical and oil and gas industries. The ETO options benefit customers whose unique specifications require tailored solutions to their individual application needs. In addition, the motors can be configured to NEMA Premium® energy efficiency standards or better.
“Many of our customers have highly specific needs that aren’t well matched by standardized models,” said ABB’s Product and Technology Manager, Chris Stockton. “The RXT series bridges that gap by providing a solution that combines ETO features with over a century of North American motor engineering knowledge, making this a robust series we are thrilled to bring to market.”
This ETO series of motors addresses the key challenges faced by heavy industry and provides maximum uptime and minimal maintenance, even under harsh operating conditions. Reliance-designed and engineered, these motors provide exceptional efficiency and proven reliability, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership that significantly boosts your bottom line. These motors are powerful enough to meet global standards but offer design flexibility for adaptation to local regulations.
The RXT series of Reliance legacy motors will debut at the EASA 2024 Convention in Las Vegas, taking place from June 23-26. The official unveiling will be on Monday, June 24 at 2:45 p.m. in booth #509. Attendees will be able to learn about the new sleeve bearing upgrades that will be available this fall.
Stockton will also be exhibiting the line during the convention with a presentation at EASA’s New Solutions Theater on Tuesday, June 25 at 1:10 p.m.
