ABB’s Baldor-Reliance® Critical Cooling motors deliver reliability and efficiency in air handling applications

By: ABB

ABB, a global leader in technology, announces the Baldor-Reliance® Critical Cooling motor with sealed hybrid ceramic bearings offering the highest level of protection and performance when used with variable frequency drives (VFDs) controlled motors. These innovative motors are able to operate at the high temperatures, partial speeds and demanding loads required in critical cooling applications.

Baldor-Reliance® Critical Cooling motors are designed to operate reliably where precision environmental control is required such as data centers, computer rooms, medical facilities, commercial and industrial HVAC systems, blower and fan motors, pump motors, and other variable-speed applications. These Critical Cooling motors deliver extended motor life and lower maintenance costs.

A standard feature of the Baldor-Reliance® Critical Cooling motor is its ceramic bearings which help limit and control premature failure under specific conditions. Baldor-Reliance® Critical Cooling motors offer an unprecedented lifetime warranty against bearing failure caused by shaft currents. The motors are also backed by a 5-year warranty.

Critical Cooling motors are inverter duty, available with ultra-premium efficiency levels, and include remote monitoring for increased safety and predictive maintenance planning. Critical Cooling motors are manufactured in the U.S. and are available for immediate delivery.
