Call for Papers for 2018 Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium

Why just witness the technical program at ATPS, when you can be a part of it?

The Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M University, host of the Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium (ATPS) in Singapore, has officially opened the call for papers for ATPS 2018.

Stationed in the fastest growing market for energy, oil and gas, and manufacturing, ATPS is the ideal training and networking opportunity for professionals in both pump and turbomachinery industries. ATPS 2018 is set for March 12-15, 2018 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

ATPS builds upon the success of the longstanding Turbomachinery and Pump Symposia (TPS) in Houston, featuring an international exhibition and a uniquely crafted technical program, hand-picked by an advisory committee of key industry players. ATPS is approaching its second year after an inaugural 2016 event which drew more than 900 attendees from 38 countries.

The Turbo Lab and ATPS advisory committee invite industry academics and professionals to craft one- to three-page abstracts for lectures, tutorials, case studies and short courses to be presented at and published in the Proceedings of ATPS.

“ATPS is the ideal platform for turbomachinery experts in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region to network, learn and see the latest technical developments,” said Manoj Gupta, ATPS advisor and Manager of New Equipment of Dresser-Rand, A Siemens Business. “Contributors to the technical program have a unique opportunity to meet industry experts and decision-makers on important projects, and to strategically place their companies and latest products in front of potential clients in the rapidly-changing market. The advantages of submitting an abstract for ATPS abound. If you’re adept in this industry, I highly encourage you to participate.”

Submissions from all areas of rotating machinery are welcomed, including:
· Oil & gas process and transport
· Power generation (steam and natural gas)
· Petrochemical refining and processes
· Water treatment and management
· Offshore and marine technologies
· Wind turbine technologies
· Aircraft and land-based gas turbines

Abstracts are due by June 4, 2017. For more information on submission guidelines and to submit an abstract, visit http://atps.tamu.edu/program/author-presenter-guidelines.
The Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) Turbomachinery Laboratory conducts basic and applied research into important problems of reliability and performance of turbomachinery—rotating machinery that extracts or adds energy to fluids, including everything from classic Dutch windmills to the space shuttle’s main engine turbopumps and compressors. The Turbo Lab offers engineering education through Texas A&M University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, and provides continuing education opportunities to industry professionals with symposia and short courses, advancing Texas A&M’s land-grant charter tradition of education, research and service.
