Simerics Adds Progressive Cavity Pump Template to its PumpLinx

Simerics has released the Progressive Cavity Pump Template for PumpLinx, the CFD virtual test bed for pumps. Pump manufacturers rely on PumpLinx® to improve product performance, as well as to reduce cavitation, cavitation damage, and noise.

The PumpLinx Progressive Cavity Pump Template now extends the virtual pump testing capabilities of PumpLinx for progressive cavity pumps by modeling cavitation, pressure, and other flow dynamics for these numerically challenging pumps.

PumpLinx provides a new approach that allows for fast and easy model set up, accuracy, and fast calculation speed, as well as automated grid generation and superior treatment of rotating-and sliding interfaces, and is able to model micron scale stator and rotor clearances.
