Key Pump and Gear, LLC. was started by founder, Michael Key, and his 39 years of experience in the industry working around rotating equipment, repairing and building new pumps, and various rotating equipment. During those prior early years, he used multiple different tools to disassemble pumps that people are still being taught to this day which causes damage to the critical components of the pump they are working on. While starting KPG, LLC., Michael decided to figure out a better, safer way to perform this task. Working on several ideas, he finally came up with something that did just that and named it the KIRIS SYSTEM.

KIRIS: (KEY IMPELLER REMOVAL & INSTALLATION SYSTEM), invented by Key Pump & Gear, LLC, was designed to ensure safe and proper removal of the impeller, allowing distribution of the force applied evenly when removing or assembling the impeller on the pump.
