Schneider Electric Strongly Supports the SWPA 2019 Pumping Systems & Controls Training Seminar

Schneider Electric, a provider of intelligent pump control solutions and long-time member of the Submersible Wastewater Pump Association, is participating in a 2-Day Training Seminar hosted by SWPA on March 12th and 13th near Chicago, IL. Three professionals from Schneider Electric will be in attendance at the training event covering a range of topics on Day 2, from intuitive pump system automation to IIoT and other important topics for the water / wastewater pumping industry.

Michael Gaza, BSEE, MBA, will be presenting insights into counterfeiting trends and will share options to help companies know they are buying the “real thing.” He will also be touching upon the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), in which Schneider Electric has been a leader with their IoT-enabled architecture and platform known as EcoStruxure™. Global Product Manager, Mark Eubanks, will be educating the training attendees about universal enclosures, thermal management solutions, and software tools.

With the 2nd Day offering a specific Education Track dedicated specifically to Controls, Max Boyer, an Automation Solutions Application Engineer (SAE) at Schneider Electric will be discussing PLC and SCADA in depth. Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) based automation control systems continue to grow, and at the same time evolve as new technologies enhance their capabilities. Boyer will start with the basics, explain what PLCs do and where they are headed for the future. In a separate session, Boyer will dive into SCADA systems, which are an integral part of any efficient and effective process at a facility. His session will provide an overview of SCADA and the security that is involved with these types of systems.

  1. I can say that it is kind of another supporting system that needed to run the pumping system. I would like to know if is possible to fit waterproof enclosure along with these systems. Please do let us know more in details.
