Dr. Robert Cook obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi specializing in the processing and characterization of high performance nanocomposites. Currently Robert serves as composites business area manager and CeraComp® ceramic matrix composite technical lead at Lancer Systems in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. His primary focus has been the engineering, global business development and technical sales of application-specific CMCs for aerospace, defense, automotive, semiconductor and industrial applications. Robert’s primary areas of expertise are the design and processing of polymer-derived CMCs, as well as application-specific integration of advanced materials. Due to their high thermal shock and impact resistance, Robert has had success implementing carbon-filled CMC solutions into critical refinery rotating equipment applications, where they have been shown to provide increased Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), increased reliability and decreased maintenance costs compared to monolithic OEM materials. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-973-2658 with any questions or to discuss potential applications.
