New DoE Motor Efficiency Standards Response from Fuji Electric

The U.S. Department of Energy has recently enacted new Motor Efficiency Standards, and Fuji Electric Regenerative Blowers that are 3-phase, 1HP and larger are now covered under this new legislation. The standard requires that all motors manufactured after June 1, 2016 comply with the new standards. Fuji Electric currently has an inventory position of 3-5 months of blowers stocked in our warehouses which were produced prior to the deadline, and we will continue to supply these motors until our current inventory is depleted.

Please note that the new blower designs, which we plan to introduce by May 15, 2016, will feature improved blower performance with some minor dimensional changes. These changes will vary by individual model, and we will provide detailed comparison drawings and performance data for each affected model at the time of the release.

Please direct all questions regarding this new legislation to Bill Maier, National Sales Manager for Fuji Electric’s Ring Compressor & Blowers Department.
