Four Useful Online Calculators for Electric Motor Users

If you work with electric motor drivers in your current job assignment, we think you are going to find this new website useful.  The site is free and contains numerous on-line calculators.  At this time, we want to introduce you to four handy, easy-to-use calculators related to electric motors:

1. Horsepower Calculator for Single-Phase, AC Applications: This calculator can be used to analyze the following single phase, AC circuit variables: HP (horsepower), E (voltage), EFF. (efficiency), PF (power factor) or I (amperage). If you enter any four of these variables as inputs, the calculator will instantly calculate the fifth variable.

2. Horsepower Calculator for Three-Phase, AC Applications: This calculator can be used to analyze the following single phase, AC circuit variables: HP (horsepower), E (voltage), EFF. (efficiency), PF (power factor) or I (amperage). If you enter any four of these variables as inputs, the calculator will instantly calculate the fifth variable.

3. Horsepower Calculator for Direct Current Applications: This calculator can be used to analyze Horsepower for Direct Current Loads.   If any three of the following variables are entered the fourth variable will instantly be calculated:  HP (horsepower), E (voltage) , I (amperage), Eff. (efficiency).

4. Belt-Drive Pulleys Calculator: This calculator allows you to analyze belt driven, dual pulley systems. Machinery and maintenance professionals should find this calculator useful whenever they need to size pulleys in the field for performance rerates. If any of the following three variables are entered the fourth will be determined: High speed pulley diameter (DH), the low speed pulley diameter (DL), the rotational speed of the high-speed pulley (NH), or the rotational speed of the low speed pulley (NL), the calculator will determine the fourth variable.

All these on-line calculators have pull-down menus that allow you to change engineering units on inputs and output values to meet your calculation needs.

Give these four electrical calculators a try and let us know what you think.
