Is faulty packing posing a problem? Here is one possible solution – the VSG ProPack stem packing. It’s composed of two, Inconel-jacketed end rings and a pure graphite center ring. The end rings prevent graphite from extruding, while also acting as wipers to keep the shaft free of debris. Debris can score, pit, or corrode your valve stem. The center rings are made of 100% pure graphite, which contain a corrosion inhibitor for added protection.
