The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded reaccreditation status to the Bell & Gossett Little Red Schoolhouse. IACET Authorized Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The accreditation period extends for five years, and includes all programs offered or created during that time.
“Bell & Gossett is proud of our education programs which train thousands of HVAC professionals each year in mechanical system design skills,” stated Mark Handzel, director of building services marketing at Xylem Residential & Commercial Water, “Our renewed partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and high standards for all of our programs. We are very pleased to be a member of such a prestigious organization as well as an elite group of organizations that offer excellent continuing education and training programs.”
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Bell & Gossett Little Red Schoolhouse as an Authorized Provider,” stated Francenia Johnson, president of IACET and supervisor of operations and measurements at Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW) in Memphis, TN. Johnson added, “Bell & Gossett joins nearly 650 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education to ensure the highest possible standards are met.”
For nearly 70 years, Bell & Gossett has led the industry in providing high-quality continuing education programs focusing on HVAC and plumbing. The Little Red Schoolhouse focuses building expertise in key system applications, including pressure boosting, heating, cooling, and filtration, and also provides training in new, water- and energy-efficient technologies such as solar thermal, geothermal, rainwater harvesting and reuse.
Since 1954, more than 55,000 engineers, contractors and installers have been trained in the Little Red Schoolhouse’s fully equipped learning center in the Chicago suburb of Morton Grove, while another 150,000-plus professionals have received training through Bell & Gossett’s ‘traveling classroom’ program. Graduates of the Little Red Schoolhouse can be found in every state in the U.S. as well as Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and Australia.
In order to achieve Authorized Provider accreditation, Bell & Gossett completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of its programs. Bell & Gossett has pledged its continued compliance with the Standard, and is now authorized to use the IACET name and Authorized Provider logo on promotional course material.  In addition, Bell & Gossett is now linked to the IACET web site and is recognized as offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs.
